• Account data: name, email, password (hashed).
• Billing data: subscription plan and payment status. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers.
• Trip data: the route prompts, preferences and itineraries you create.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser, and usage analytics (only with your consent where required).
• Communications: messages you send us via support or the contact form.

• To provide the Service (account, route generation) — performance of a contract.
• To process payments — performance of a contract.
• To improve and secure the Service — our legitimate interests.
• Analytics and marketing cookies — your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).
• To meet legal obligations — compliance with applicable law.

Your data may be processed outside New Zealand — including in the European Union and the United States — by service providers such as Stripe (payments), our hosting provider and analytics tools. In line with Information Privacy Principle 12 of the NZ Privacy Act and GDPR Chapter V, we use comparable safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and data-processing agreements (for example, the Stripe Data Processing Agreement) to protect your information when it crosses borders.

Depending on how you pay, your payment is handled by one of the following providers. We never store your full card number.

• Stripe — Payment processor (we are the seller/merchant of record). Privacy statement.
• PayPal — Independent data controller for payments it processes. Privacy statement.
• Creem — Merchant of Record — sells the subscription to you on our behalf, collects payment and remits applicable taxes. Privacy statement.

Where you pay with PayPal, PayPal acts as an independent data controller of the payment data it processes under its own privacy statement. Where you pay through Creem, Creem acts as our Merchant of Record and processes payment and tax data in that capacity.

Other sub-processors:

• Cloud hosting provider — running the Service.
• Email provider — transactional and support email.
• Privacy-respecting analytics — usage measurement (consent-gated where required).

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• GDPR (EU/UK): access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object; and to withdraw consent. We respond within 30 days.
• CCPA/CPRA (California): know, delete, correct, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, with no discrimination for exercising your rights. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
• NZ Privacy Act: access and correct your information.

We keep account and trip data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Billing records are kept as required by law.

If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as required by the Privacy Act, and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours where the GDPR applies.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this Policy and will post the new effective date here, notifying you of material changes.
